The new shelter facility is just about done and it looks great!  Now we have to finish paying for it.

Compare this with the architect's drawings before construction started.

Click "Read more..." below for more photos and info on our building project.

Another view of the front of the new building and renovated old building:

This will be the reception area of the new facility.  The glass windows will have shelter animals available for adoption.

I see yesterday that 'Izzy's' pictures are up on your web-site, and I am hoping that you will soon be able to send me pictures of little 'Barnaby' .
Just for your information, YOU are the most helpful group I have so far been in contact with ! I have looked at all the pictures of your new construction, and I think it is wonderful what you have been able to accomplish --"keep up the good work !"

I rly like what you guys are doing. I just rly hope people are still capable of interacting with both dogs and cats once this is finished. Massena has a horrible set up. The cats are separated from eachother, no contact with humans and you are not allowed to go around and see them unless "given permission". Then a worker goes around with you and watches you. The last time I was in there they never even said "hello" or "Can I help you?". The two women went into another side room and talked about going out to dinner that night. Literally. I felt bad for the animals. I won't go back. Potsdam has been a fav. of mine for years. Even if I just go to visit the animals or give a donation. Keep up the great work and I cant wait to see it finished.

Yes Samantha, the cats will be in large rooms as before (just much nicer!). They also still have their outdoor areas as well! Animal Shelters and SPCAS all across the world are all working towards the same goals and doing the best they can. We all try to work together and can use all the positive feedback and support we can get!
